I acknowledge as an educator within and outside of our public school systems that it takes a village to raise a child. If a child should find some sort of comfort or has a need to seek out the knowledge of their biological parent, I should be remiss to refuse that. We all go on our own journeys. I would never deny a child the right to make the world feel bigger and more open - I would much rather open doors. The level of contact between myself, the parents, and the child would generally be open for arrangement! Everyone has different needs. I’m not entirely interested in day-to-day co-parenting, but I do feel comfortable sharing the resources I have on parenting, education, or social services in general! If we decide it to be more beneficial to build up a larger relationship, I am open to talking about that further/our capacities! I am also open to proper assessment of boundaries and the fact that boundaries always shift and get renegotiated.

I am currently enrolled in a paid eight week intensive course to work and tour local St. Louis gardens, farms, and work places focused on sustainability/green initiatives. This includes coursework on native plant care, rain garden construction, and solar power electrical engineering.
What are your career goals over the next year?
I would like to be more involved with food justice advocacy work wherein I deliver programs to communities who otherwise cannot access this education.

My career goals over the next five years generally involve my continuation as an educator who can help my students learn a trade in either traditional craft or sustainable farming! Or both!
